18 Years, 18 Years (ft. Corey Jacobs)
Monday Jul 20, 2020
Monday Jul 20, 2020
Corey Jacobs is living proof that systemic racism is real and our justice system is broken. Facing 16 life sentences as a first-time non violent drug offender, Jacobs stood solid in the prison system for 18 years without a possibility of freedom. In 2016, Jacobs was granted clemency from President Barack Obama and set free. Now a free man, senior advisor to the legendary Sean "Puffy" Combs, and co-founder of the Buried Alive Project, Jacobs is showing the world a different side of what life after facing life looks like. On this episode of "Say Less" with Kaz and Lowkey, Jacobs explains why the justice system in America doesn't necessarily help rehabilitate prisoners once they are set free and how the systems set in place by our government make it extremely easy to get sent right back into prison. Jacobs also speaks at length about his life-long friendship with Diddy and why he feels that he is Hip-Hop's Michael Jackson. Jacobs also details how the Buried Alive Project has helped free 53 people from incarceration, his friendship with Meek Mill and how both of their fights for restructuring the criminal justice system are similar yet different, who Puffy would bring smoke to in a Verzuz battle, and much more.

Patrick Mahomes Is A $500 Million Bargain
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
Wednesday Jul 08, 2020
On today's episode of "Say Less," Kaz goes it alone and talks at length about Patrick Mahomes' record breaking contract extension which has the potential to be worth over a half a billion dollars. I look back at some of the biggest sports contracts ever signed and if they lived up to the hype, why the economics of the deal may favor the Kansas City Chiefs in the long term, and what this means for guys like Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott and DeShaun Watson.
Kaz also speaks about the anxiousness between NBA players to restart the season and the many safety issues that they present, Colin Kaepernick's first-look deal with the Walt Disney Company and what it means to control your narrative ten years after LeBron James' controversial ESPN special, "The Decision." Kaz also reveals why he believes Sasha Banks is on a career-run and has the opportunity to break through the mainstream more than Becky Lynch did a year before her and much like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Wednesday Jun 24, 2020
Bryan-Michael Cox is the most accomplished and prolific R&B producer of my lifetime. On this episode of Say Less with Kaz, the nine-time Grammy award winner and musical genius behind albums like Usher's Confessions, Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi, Chris Brown's self-titled debut, and Mary J. Blige's The Breakthrough talks at length about the streak of hits he collected that landed him in the Guinness Book of World Records for longest consecutive period of chart success. The mental health advocate also speaks at length about why record companies need to invest more into the long term well=being of the artists they sign by making sure they have the same insurance benefits that the suits receive.
B. Cox also takes us into the early days of his production with the short-lived group Ideal as well as writing with Johnta Austin, Brian and Brandon of Jagged Edge and being taken under Jermaine Dupri's wing as a mentor. Cox also discusses what it was like to go to high school with Beyonce Knowles - Carter and the professionalism she had at such an early age as well as why the industry owes Chris Brown an apology.

Go, Cinderella (ft. Famous Los)
Thursday Jun 11, 2020
Thursday Jun 11, 2020
Today's episode of "Say Less" was supposed to bring a little bit of brevity to a heavy couple of weeks, but things sort of changed in the middle of production. This episode is dedicated to the memory of Jas Waters, a good friend and incredibly talented creative writer, director and journalist who thrived in New York and Los Angeles.
After the first segment, Kaz brings in his special guest Famous Los to talk about the restart of the NBA. Los also speaks at length about sports journalists who can't hoop, rappers that thing they are better in basketball than what they are, which teams are primed for a championship run in a restarted season, Los also speaks about being an underdog in his high school career and how he wants to use his platform to help shine a light on the ball players who are overlooked by ranking systems as well as how his creativity thrived during the pandemic by his one-of-a-kind type of sports commentary.
